Xiaomi announced the Redmi A4 5G model in India on October 16, 2024, which is known for its affordable price and high-speed internet. It was helped by people in India who could not afford expensive 5G phones. Now Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi A5 as its successor. It has recently been spotted on the IMEI database with model numbers.
According to the IMEI database, the Redmi A5’s model number is “25028RN03Y.” This model indicates a global version with NFC connectivity. The timeline is revealed as February 2025. However, it would not be appropriate to consider this the launch date until the company shares official information.
According to the report, its other variants will be like this: 25028PC031 (India), 25028PC03L (Latin America), and 25028PC03Y (NFC). Currently, no other information is available about Redmi A5. The new year has started, and soon, Xiaomi can introduce another new 5G smartphone.
To recall, its predecessor Redmi A4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor. It comes with a 6.88-inch IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate and 720 x 1640 pixels. It has a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The phone has a 5160 mAh battery and supports 18W wired charger. Apart from this, the Redmi A4 comes with a circular camera island design. Which is 8.2 mm thick and the phone is dust and splash resistant.
