Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 15 series device a few days ago, which is the world’s first phone based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Which was strong in terms of performance and had new AI features. Xiaomi is preparing to launch Xiaomi CIVI 5 next year. Which is expected to be launched by March. Interestingly, according to the report, CIVI 5 will be based on another new Qualcomm chipset.
Snapdragon 8s Elite launch revealed
Chinese social media tipster Smart Pikachu says that next year the Xiaomi Civi 5 will be launched with the new Snapdragon 8s Elite processor from Xiaomi. It will offer the same performance as the Snapdragon 8 Elite. However, this premium chip will have slightly fewer features than the 8 Elite. It will be announced in mainland China by March 2025. For now, if the tipster’s words turn out to be true, we will get a more powerful processor that will come at an affordable price.
However, there is no news of the new chipset from Qualcomm yet. Snapdragon 8 Elite was launched a few days ago. Many devices based on it have been launched in the market. The first of which is Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. Its third model will include Xiaomi 15 Ultra which is likely to be launched by January 2025.
Let me remind you that Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro was launched this year which is based on Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Which comes with Adreno 735 graphics, UFS 4.0 storage, and a dual 32 MP selfie camera. Its successor is expected to come in 2025 with Pro and base variants. Which should have a dual selfie camera.
