Redmi A5 and Poco C71 Processor Revealed in New Leak

Recently Xiaomi launched the Redmi A4 5G model of the Redmi A series which is powered by a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor. However, the device with 4G network connectivity of Redmi A4 is still a secret. Now Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi A5 model as its successor. A new leak has revealed the processor information of Redmi A5 which is quite interesting.

Redmi A5 and Poco C71 Chipset details

A report shows that the model number of the Redmi A5 has appeared in Xiaomi’s Mi Code. Not only the model number but the chipset details have also been revealed. The screenshot listed below shows the model number “C3Z” which is the Redmi A5. It mentions the UMS9230E chipset. However, this chipset model indicates UniSOC T615 which only supports 4G networks.

The UniSOC T615 performs with a combination of ARM Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. It has support for ARM Mali-G57 MP1 graphics. This chipset is built on 12-nanometer process nodes and has also been seen previously with the Tecno Spark Go 1 phone.

The UniSOC T615 supports LPDDR4x memory, eMMC5.1 and UFS2.2 storage, and a display with a 20Hz refresh rate. It is known that the upcoming Redmi A5 will include powerful features along with 4G network connectivity and can be launched in the open markets at a cheap price.

According to previous leaks, Redmi A5 has the option of 3GB + 64GB, 4GB + 64GB, and 6GB + 128GB storage variants. Currently, very little information is available about Redmi A5. On the other hand, it is said that the Poco C71 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi A5. Which can be introduced in India at a cheaper price.
