Asus launched the ROG Phone 9 series in November last year, including a Pro model. Recently we mentioned a new family member of the ROG Phone 9 series, which is the ROG Phone 9 FE model. Now a leak of Asus ROG Phone 9 FE has revealed its design and full specifications, which is quite interesting.
Asus ROG Phone 9 FE appeared on several certification websites a few days ago with the model number ASUS_AI2401_N. This certification suggests that it can be launched globally soon. Meanwhile, according to a report by 91Mobiles, the full specifications and design of the ROG Phone 9 FE have been revealed, which looks similar to its predecessor. The phone has AirTrigger controls like its predecessor and can be with Phantom Black color design.
ROG Phone 9 FE Design
Talking about the design of the ROG Phone 9 FE, it can come in black. There is a flat display on the front panel and the selfie camera setup is inside the punch cutout. The design suggests that there can be about 1.5 millimeters thin bezels.
There is a triple camera setup on its rear panel and an LED flashlight. Its camera module is located on a slightly higher island. The back panel seems to be made of plastic material and the edges are slightly curved.
On the right side, there are volume rocker buttons and a power button while on the left side, there is an AirTrigger control button. Which can be used for gaming. The phone is about 8.9 mm thick, its dimensions are 163.8×76.8×8.9 mm and weighs 225 grams.
Asus ROG Phone 9 FE specification (leaked)
The leak suggests that the Asus ROG Phone 9 FE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with support for Adreno 730 GPU. While the previously launched ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite. It seems that the FE model is expected to be launched with an affordable price tag.
The phone sports a 6.78-inch FullHD+ LTPO Samsung Flexible AMOLED display that supports 2400×1080 pixels resolution and 165Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and is capable of a peak brightness of 2500 nits.
The ROG Phone 9 FE has a triple camera setup on the rear panel consisting of a 50MP (Sony IMX890) main camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. It is equipped with a 32MP high-quality lens for selfies. There is no telephoto or periscope lens in it at the moment.
The phone is said to have a 5,500 mAh battery capacity to provide long-lasting power and the phone can be charged quickly with a 65W fast charger when the phone is discharged. Apart from this, it boots on Android 15 and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 7, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The IP68 rating protects the phone from shock and water.
