Samsung recently launched the Galaxy A16 5G smartphone. Now, Samsung may soon launch the upgraded version of the A16 5G, the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G. It has been seen doing benchmark testing on Geekbench with a MediaTek chipset and 8GB of RAM. It has achieved benchmark scores almost identical to the Galaxy A16 5G. This benchmark result also reveals the model number of the device.
Samsung Galaxy M16 benchmark performance
According to the Geekbench database, the model number of Galaxy M16 5G is SM-M166P. This model performs on Geekbench with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 8GB RAM, and Android 14. During testing, single-core 552 and multi-core 1611 scores were achieved. Which is similar to Galaxy 16.
Currently, Samsung Galaxy M16 5G is packed with Android 14 out of the box but it can get Android 15 and OneUI 7.0 update during boot. It is likely to have 6 years of OS upgrades and security upgrades like Galaxy A16. Also, there can be storage above 128GB, 4GB, and 8GB RAM variants.
Samsung Galaxy M16 expected features
The Galaxy M16 5G is said to be a family member of the Galaxy A16 5G with similar features. But some upgrades are expected. The Galaxy M16 5G should reportedly have a 6000mAh battery and 25W fast charging. It should have a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The primary camera should be equipped with 50 megapixels wide, 5 megapixels ultrawide, and a 2-megapixel Micro lens. While there should be a 13-megapixel front camera on the front. Apart from this, there is a possibility of Blue Black, Light Gray, and Light Green color options with 128GB and 256GB storage. Currently, all these specs are in rumors.
